The professional player who needs a reliable, modern instrument need look no farther than this Concertmaster violin. The beautiful, hand-applied oil varnish is tastefully antiqued in the Italian style to highlight the deeply figured maple and select, straight-grained spruce.
The elegant, characteristic scroll shows the hand of the master carver and the neatly inlaid purfling complements the graceful curves of this classic Guarneristyle outline. The edgework and channel blend seamlessly into a low, graceful arch of top and back, which promises a full, rich tone with marvelous carrying power. The lovely transparent oil varnish is lightly picked off on the borders of top, back and scroll, in the true Italian fashion.
The VN-1700G features a solid ebony fingerboard and a bridge from the famous old French manufacturer Aubert. The Hill-style trimmings are of finest boxwood, hand carved and fitted with black pips and collars. Pirastro Tonica strings are a standard and each violin is thoroughly inspected and set-up in the U.S.
